Over the course of lock down from 2020 to 2023 to help keep myself busy, I began designing emotes for Live Streamers on Twitch. Since emotes are a form of custom made emojis. Emotes have similar design practices, including having mid to high contrasting colours, simplifying a concept to it’s base features and insuring it reads easily on different colour backgrounds (light mode vs. dark mode).
