After finally getting the MaoMao Nendoroid Garden Party version, I thought her base looked a bit too plain for my liking.
I took it upon myself to create a vinyl sticker based off the rug MaoMao was sitting on during the garden party to place on the base.
Initially, I was going to use one of pre-made templates that can be found on the Nendoroid sub-reddit.
Unfortunately, at the time, the Nendoroid figure bases had recently changed to be thinner and the holes for pegs layout changed as well.
Therefore, I had to make my own template along with the design for this project.
The design of the rug was easy, as I drew a simpler version of the design based on a few screen shots from the garden party episode.
It took multiple attempts of measuring, scanning, and cutting to get the holes to line up as well as sized correctly. I eventually added a temporary centre hole that helped with lining up where the holes actually were.
